With heavy hearts and sadness, The Maryland Soccer Legends is announcing the passing of another Maryland Soccer Legend, George F. Barger, Jr. on June 20, 2021. He is the beloved husband for 57 years to Mickey Jane (nee Havey) Barger; devoted father of Greg Barger and his wife Wendy, Joe Barger and his wife Kristin, Tim Barger and his wife Christine and Mike Barger and his wife Alicia; loving grandfather of Reid Barger and his wife Christine, Riley, Nate, Brendan, Gavin, Keegan, Brooke, Matthew, Lucy, Finley, Katie and Maggie Barger; dear brother of Rick Barger and his wife Jane and the late Jerry and Tim Barger; he is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.
The Maryland Legends of Soccer Board and members extend their condolences to the entire Barger Family as well as friends and associates. He will be missed.
For all interested, A Celebration of Life will be held at Ryleigh’s Oyster 22 W. Padonia Road on Friday, July 16, 2021 from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The George Pappy Barger Memorial Scholarship Fund 607 St Francis Road Towson, MD 21286.
